Why not pay us a visit?

The Millennium Green covers around 3.5 acres in a conservation area at the centre of Mansfield Woodhouse.  Open to the public, it comprises a mix of grassland, scrub and hedgerows which are valuable for wildlife  It provides excellent views over the historic centre of the village, and provides a peaceful place to sit and watch nature and the world go by.

A wild flower meadow has recently been planted and hopefully this will provide a spectacular display during the spring and summer of 2018.  An orchard planted in 2016 comprising 27 apple, pear and plum trees will take a few more years to reach full maturity, but will eventually bear fruit for the local community to pick and enjoy.

Access

The Millennium Green can be found on Welbeck Road in Mansfield Woodhouse - see Maps for further details. Footpaths make it accessible even in wet weather and are suitable for children’s buggies and wheelchairs.  Wheelchair access is available by the main gates on Welbeck Road with the use of a radar key.  We can also arrange tours of the Green for the partially sighted.  Please contact the Trustees for further details.

Who are we?

The Millennium Green is owned by the Mansfield Woodhouse Millennium Green Trust. For more details see About Us.  It is maintained by the trustees and volunteers.
